    Thanks so much to you all for your opinions - you have no idea how appreciated they are. I've decided to keep the narrow yellow (Margecam, you're right - it's a marbled yellow) on this quilt, BUT I have enough extra squares and started a second one without the border while gathering opinions. And the babies who get them will never know.

    I also like it both ways but no more dark blue too dark. This is a kids quilt isn't it? So the brighter the better.
