I had the complete opposite effect, I was asked by my cousin to make her son a t-shirt quilt, received the 20 t-shirts right away. At my expense purchased the special fabrics needed for the backing, sashing and stabilizers (big time volunteer fire fighters in the family) paid for the EMT emblem sewed in the back and paid for the long arm quilting. I could not deliver this in person before Christmas, so I mailed it to them. The only way I knew they received it was by the tracking number. Saw them several time after that and no one mentioned if they liked it, no one asked how much money they owed me, only heard thru the grapevine that he has plenty of more t-shirts for me to work on. Not again in this lifetime!!
I am glad that you had a good response, nice to know your work is appreciated!!
