    I goggled "Star String Block" and got nothing. Then I goggled Wombat quilts "Star String Block" and found the one in your post. It is paper pieced. This is where I found it: Images for Wombat Quilts "Star String Block"

    I'm using clip art from the internet. We were given 42 summertime words and a square of fabric. I picked the colors from the fabric I was given. It's a lot of fun!

    Actually, the blocks are paper pieced. It's giving me a great opportunity to work on my PPing skills which have been really lacking. The block is numbered, so you sew in numerical order.
