Default mantel cover or mantel scard

I have been looking for some free patterns for mantel covers or mantel scarves... Do you know where I might find one. Seasonal is good, but anything is fine , I can always adjust... just need a basic pattern... I like to use them in my bay window hanging over ledge.

thanks.

Have searched on web? I made several a few yrs ago....don't ask me where that pattern is now! But I do remember 6" blocks on point for length desired attached to setting triangles on top end which was then sewn to straight piece that length and whatever width desired...I then "birth it" instead of sandwiching and binding...faster and easier....then quilted simply......on some I did NOEL - fused, blanket stitched, with holly leaves on end triangles and other pieced tulip, another maple leaves.... they were seasonal. There should be something on internet somewhere..

Thanks Geri.. I have looked on the internet. Just thought maybe someone would have some inspiration for me, and you have helped a lot. I too had a pattern, years ago... but having trouble finding it. I probably can figure it out from one that I have. Thanks again. I appreciate it.

I think there was a Christmas Bargello mantle scarf last year posted but I think it wasn't free. You could do your own Bargello as a valance though.

I have been looking and looking and looking. They are few and far between. The one that I have seen wasn't really something I would jump up and down about. I have come to the conclusion that creating your own design is the better thing to do.

I did a search for "quilted mantle scarf" & there were a bunch. Sometimes you just have to change a word or two to find what you need. Hope you find one you can use.
