    Christmas mantel cover

I have wanted to make my own Christmas mantel cover for several years. This year, inspired by posts of other members, I finally made it.
I found this beautiful Hoffman fabric with Christmas trees, which lent itself perfectly.
    Thanks for looking.

Did you have a pattern, or make your own?

Beautiful mantel cover. Many years ago we had a house with a fireplace and mantel. Sadly we moved. This makes me wish we still had it.

Absoultely BEAUTIFUL!!!! Wish I had a mantel, but just pellet stoves here. But I bet something like that would look great around the top of my China Cabinet. You've inspired me!!!!! But it will have to be next year. Did you have a pattern?

Thank you for all your kind comments.
    I bought an E pattern,

    http://www.e-patternscentral.com/det...riteria=mantel
because I liked the design, but then found it needed Fusible Tricot for backing, (which I couldn’t find available in the UK ) and a serger, which I didn’t have, so I redesigned it, adding bells.
I think the hardest part was actually finding the fabrics I was happy with, but these two really sang out to me.
