I love my drop in bobbin Brother and Janome. I also have a 1985 Phaff that I have to bend over to change the bobbin, but still like it for doing heavy thick sewing. I have a hydraulic drafting table that I can raise up for cutting. I inherited this from my Brother in Law when he passed away and I love it!

If you have carpeting in your sewing room, Velcro will keep your foot pedal in place. When or if we change out the carpeting, I will NOT put carpeting down again though.

I have an old soft pillow under the table and the foot control nestles into it. It can't go anywhere, so is always easy to find.

I bought the 12 and 24 inch..you set it to your width, and just go..I thought they were pricey at first...but they have made me so much more accurate.

My machines have a bobbin sensor that alerts me when it's running low. My second machine developed a fault in its sensor so it's in for repair just now. I didn't realise how dependent I'd become on it!

Agree! And there are lots of instructional videos and patterns that use them.

I want an 8 inch wide ruler that is 48inches long. I know I can get it in 36", but would love to have 48. Makes me feel guilty for want that extra length, but that is what I want.
