I embroider and as I thread two needles at once sometimes I have been very innovative about where to put the second needle.

As it turned out, I was not able to do anything on the trip. Hubby and I had a good time looking at the sites and talking. It was a great trip and I got to meet a fellow quilter whom I had known from the internet for many years.

me too! Nature sightings are what entertain me on road trips! Or just watching the world go by and meditate on its beauty. A time for quiet reflection.

I don't go anywhere without a hand project. Right now I'm doing hexies. I don't get carsick though, as some people do.
I also do quite a bit of cross-stitch and those are easy to bring along. My sister had eye surgery and the long wait was so enjoyable for me. She worried about me being bored. She doesn't do crafts

I make yo-yos, probably for a table runner. When I tire of the soft colors, I switch to a brighter Grandmother's Flower Garden, also probably for a table runner. Charm packs and the Clover plastic circles make the yo-yos easy to do in the car. The GFG pieces are precut.
