I like the "stick to groups of 6" idea. I want snowpeople and snowflakes, I already have a santa quilt. I also like 12.5 inch blocks because it seems to be the easiest size to find.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I am in agreement. I like the idea of the snowperson exchange maybe with the snowflakes.

Are we limiting colors? White, no cream??
Reds, greens, and blues? Just wondering before we start...

A snowpeople/snowflake swap sounds like a lot of fun. I'd keep the blocks one size, though --

I would like to join a snowman swap and agree with Moosegirl to keep it simple, and with Amma to stick with the same size blocks. Perhaps a sky fabric for behind and above; snowy fabric below the snowman. Embellishments can include a carrot nose, coal eyes and a hat. Would the blocks be patchwork pieced or applique? Ending the swap in early spring would allow the quilt to be ready for winter or Christmas. I shall watch for the final instructions. Thanks for suggesting and organizing.

I would also like to stick with the snowman theme. The same size blocks would be great too. But since this will be my first swap, I'll follow what ever instructions we are given:)

I would like to stick with snowmen and one size.

However, I would think about a Christmas sampler later in the summer.

For those of us w/o embroidery machines, maybe we can come up with snowflake patters to do also later on (Although that snowflake is just beautiful).

I like the snowman idea. Here is a link for a snowman face pattern. http://www.fvqg.org/05archiv/0106.htm

I also like a lot of the applique snowmen and the hand embroidered snowmen.

I would vote for snowpeople - 12.5 inch blocks - white not cream - all other colors, embellishments, and fabric medium the sky's the limit

I wasn't gonna, wasn't gonna do it, really wasn't gonna do it ....... but I want to so badly. Count me in, but let us all know the parameters soon. This one sounds as if it will be fun and awesome-looking when it is done. Thanks for the suggestion! (Snow is melting here, but it's not too early to start thinking about next winter!)
