Nothing interesting to report on my large rulers; I have them (including delicate June Tailor Short Cut varieties) in several different places, some hanging on the wall, some not, but they are all handy and safe. I also have a lot of small shaped templates and rulers in file folders with tabs identifying what's in each folder, kept in a small filebox on a bottom shelf. If I have a lot of small pieces to a set (e.g., double wedding ring), I keep them in zippered plastic bags in the file folders.

I'm sure someone else had mentioned this but I use a wire file holder that you find in the office supply section of a store, the larger rulers fit in that well. For smaller ones, I use a sectioned envelope holder for the office supply section. Works great, doesn't take up much room and they are easy to see.

i store mine in a drawer. I found two heavy duty units that have three draers in each unit I store my rulers scissors and thread in these I have a table top my dad made years ago Is a door that he tile with smaill mosaics that I have bridged across the two units makeing a good sized table to set my sewing machines on have regular and embroidery machines works great

I have several of the wooden racks all over my quilt room. I purchased one then my husband made the rest. He took a piece of wood 1" x 6" x 8' and ran it through his table saw to make the grooves. Then he cut them in 12" pieces. They work great!

I purchased a simple metal envelope/file rack at WM. I have the rulers sorted by size from tallest to longest to shortest. I know right where they are and can reach for one without looking if need be. Even with the taller rulers, it does not topple over. It sits at teh end of the cutting table against my notions drawers.

wow so many nice ruler holders and ideas! I have a couple of desk holders for files and have them stuck in those, couse I don't have as many as some of you have here!

I made this a couple years ago and still really like it. It hangs over the door and it within easy reach of the cutting table.
