I just got back from Walmart and they were discontinuing some of their quilting supplies. So I went crazy and bought stuff for this swap and a few others down the road. I'm looking forward to this. I'm new to this. Kid in a candy store.

I have a small concern about the Secret Pal swap. I think those who sign up should do so with the idea of communicating with their partner to get to know each other. Otherwise, what's the point of just sending someone a "gift" and never getting further acquainted???

When it was time to send out my package to my secret pal, I sent her an email and told her I was her secret pal and to expect the package. Since then we have corresponded via emails a couple of times and I plan on keeping in touch with her. There isn't any rule that says you can't correspond after sending the packet.

Yep Yep. got WONDERFUL stuff and will have to get going on quilting with some of the fabric. Connie help me decide what to make, although it was by accident. I was showing her a pattern that I had cut out for applique. I had cut out the middle so that I could hold it up to the material and get an idea on what the finished product would look like and I used my fabric from the June swap since I had it with me to show Connie. Now I "HAVE" to do it because it looked cute!
