    Actually her room is stark white, no drapes with red and white accents around the room. But it does have lots of color.

    I also think I would use an ivory or creme fabric instead of white. And then I would use a deeper (towards the burgundy color) red. I think this color combination would mix better with her primitive looks (which I think of more as not so bright). But this is a good color combination also.

    Or perhaps you could tea dye it after it's finished if you still find the colors a little too stark.
