Both are beautiful fabrics. It would be great with either one. Do you have enough chocolate for binding? I think that would bring out the pinks on the top. Thanks for showing us & asking for opinions.

I would go with the dark for backing and binding myself.

wHAT ABOUT STRIP, NOT TO WIDE OF LIGHTER NEXT TO BLOCKS, AND THEN GO WITH THE WIDER FOR OUTTER BOARD IN DARK.

The darker would look better just for light next to dark, but I don't think the color combination is right. I have a lot of yards in both and I don't want to have to wait until I can afford to purchase something else. So what to sacrifice to want or like? Help. Blessings, Ruth
Since you have used white for the sashing, I think you should use the lighter fabric for the backing with the darker fabric as the binding. That way there would be a pleasing contrast on both sides of the quilt. I'm a little embarrassed that my Chocolate/Raspberry blocks are sitting on my cutting table, along side of the sashing and backing I chose. They call to me often, but I'm in the midst of the Snowman/woman, Santa, Batik and Row Robin Swaps AND making an appliqued Nutcracker quilt for my GD. When it comes to quilting, "I'm just a girl that can't say NO"! Belles

I like them both but if you like the contrast of the darker one then why not do that as a border on the back and use the light as the quilt back.

Ruth, I think either one will work just fine. I used very light ivory color with my chocolate/raspberry blocks because of all the color variations, and it came out just great! I wouldn't worry too much about it. They both go fine.

I like the lighter one and a dark border! The border is the last thing on the quilt you see and a dark one seems to finish it off(stop it). That's just me!
