I have a crewel pillow that I did the crewel work but I still haven't made it into a pillow. The crewel work was done around 1975. :-) or should that be... :-(

I have a wholecloth quilt, started about 20 years ago. I am hand quilting it and only have one border to go. I got it out a couple of years ago and discovered that I needed to add a strip of backing fabric so that border could be done, which is why it was put away all those years ago. So I fixed up the backing, did a little quilting but it has the 'awful' wadding that was used back then and quilting on it is so hard now. I will eventually finish it though but not sure when.

Oldest is 44 years. Its my first quilt that is still not done. Made every mistake in the book when I did it. Its probably about half quilted and sometime will finish it by machine.

On a philosophical note, I am the oldest UFO I have. Still a work in progress!

I would say 25 years, a friend gave me two and wanted me to hand quilt them. Not done.

Go to You Tube and watch Sharon Schambers video on Basting your quilt. She shows a easy and fast way to sandwich your quilt. No floor or large tabble needed and it works.

I have one I started 62 years ago and also one 56 years old. At this point I am not sure if I will ever finish them, but still have them around.

Definitely! I hand pieced my second quilt in 1982. It is King - sized and after hand piecing and hand quilting my first one, which is single bed size, I have neatly folded it up and put it away. Can't bring myself to machine - quilt a hand pieced work, so I guess it will still be there when I am dust.
