No Ribbon for Me

No comments from the judge. I think that entering quilts in judged show should be a learning process. Judges should have transcibers to write comments and give reasons why it was judged as it was. That can help us improve. Quilts should not be judged on color but on technique, unless, of course the color combination detracts from appearance. At our state show and county fair, comments are made to help us improve our techniques.
That said, I love purple and think your quilt is beautiful. I would love to have it.

It's beautiful! I've noticed at some of the shows that the judges tend to go for the more "Mod" look; those are the ones that I like the least! I always want some sort of 'organized" look to mine. Guess I'm not very artistic or something, but I just can't understand or handle chaotic looking, modern pieces... JUST ME, I know, but that is the way I am. We all have our taste, but it seems that in the last few shows I've seen the ones I liked the least are the ones that won. With all that being said, I think your quilt is beautiful! I would have given you a ribbon!

Gorgeous!
I googled Spider Web quilts as this is a new pattern to me, and I really like yours as compared to many that are out there. If I were to do one, I'd definitely go with a monochromatic scheme. The ones with the obvious squares and stars just don't do much for me.
Great job!
Cheers, K
