I have a friend who's maiden name was Scarlett Belle Pepper! My son's name is Eric Roberts. I didn't know there was an actor by that name. Sheltered, I know. One of our Navy friends was married to a nurse in the maternity ward in Meridian, Ms. She told of the woman who came in already in labor and there weren't any rooms available. So she had the baby in the hall. She named her baby Nosmo. Her last name was King. Nosmo King. She got it off the sign on the wall. No Smoking. Original, hmm? So when I would go out with the girls, DH would look at me and say "nosmo" meaning, please don't come home tasting like an ashtray!

I had a good friend who named her daughter Summer Sea. One of my brother's friends' name was Louis (pronounced Lewie) Piano. When stopped by a policeman, the cop said, 'yeah, and my name's Harry Trombone. Now what's your name?'

I just thought of two more.
In the 80's I dated a man named Don Johnson (how could I forget that?) and when I was having my oldest DD I kept hearing the hospital loudspeaker page "Dr. Doctor".

No your first name.......William. Quit being smart your last name sir......Williams. Needless to say he has always had alot of problems with it and went by W.C. Williams when he could.

I teach school and don't think any child has a "normal" name anymore. But have a daughter who was going to name my grandchild - had he turned out to be a she - Mason. Yes, a girl Mason. (I feel so sorry for the boys who will share names with the girls - Taylor, Carsyn, etc.)
My DIL's parents are named Carol and Carroll
