    Directions say to put mat board in bottom.That was a big pain,you have to cut it a lot smaller length.I rounded off the corners.I'm going to make a cover for the mat board. :?

    I bought a pattern on line for a tulip purse and love it. I've already made 6 for family and friends. Used the jumbo size pattern and it fits all my stuff.

    When making this bag the first thing I do is cut two 5 inch stips from the fabric to make the handles so you can make them any lenght you want.

    Cute! I know what you mean about the size and strap length. It makes you wish you had done one up using junk fabric first!

    The nice thing about patterns is if you do not like the first one you can change the pattern to fit your style. I do it all the time, even with some of my quilts and table runners.
