I'M EXCITED!! Excited to be a part of this fun swap. It's my first time being in the swap, making ornaments and keeping up with you fun ladies on the thread! Thank you ALL for the ongoing comedy , wit and humor. I am learning what to do for next year!! I'm still not certain about the HOLE-but if you can bring or share the toddies I am definitely willing to jump in.

My ornaments went in the mail today. Both are going north-west of me.

This is a very fun swap. I have done it for the last 3 or 4 years. I always enjoy it so much. Looking at all the fun stuff. We all like getting extra stuff. But the swap is for one ornament per partner. It's always fun to give more IF you can.Not everyone can do the extra postage or has a large stash to take from. I was raised with lots of homemade clothes, gifts and hand me downs. I always enjoyed them. I still love home made items. Just knowing it is made just for me. I was raised that this is what giving is about. I know a lot of you ladies feel the same.Don't worry about your ornament not being good enough or that you can't fill up a big box. It doesn't matter. Now after this sermon I think ya all need to send me a surprise. LOL. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs Mary

Mary, your posts always make me smile. Your words are wise. I know that quilters have large hearts and that is what these swaps are all about. Friendship, camaraderie, some silliness, sharing and thoughtfulness put into the gifts of one's hands.

    Thanks for the reminder!

    Hi girls,
According to the post office, my ornament swap partner got her ornament package today! Yippee! I hope everything made it there in one piece. Enjoy the home-made items and have a great Christmas.

I totally agree with you ladies about receiving hand made Christmas gifts. It is so fun to see what others make and share with you.

Two packages are on the way to the east coast! Both are marked "no peeking"

Oh, and I put in a request to UPS that the delivery guy be extra cute!

One package shows it will be there Monday and the other one Tuesday. And none of them are done with Fabric. One of these days I need to learn to make little quilts for the tree.

The Reindeer Prize Control was waiting for me when I got home from work today. I got two FQs -- both green. One is a dark green with tiny leaves & tiny deer in a lighter shade of green, & the other is a lime green with tiny yellow, aqua & orange polka dots! And I do so love polka dots! (And stripes, and …. ) Thanks so much Michelle; they are a welcome & grateful addition to my FQ stash.

I got two packages today,Did Not open them! One said not too and the other was torn open at the corner and I saw Christmas paper so I left it alone. But to both of my ornament partners thank you for now until I can open them.
