Mirabelle--it was a holiday (Labor Day) so the shop was possibly closed yesterday (our Monday). I am sure the block will be posted later today.

Yes I do BUT I am still trying to get organised for the retreat on the weekend and I have no idea of what I am taking. So I have been sewing little Blankets of Love. These are 26 inch squares, can be pieced, appliqued or machine embroidered centres, no wadding and backed with flannelette, hand sewn binding. These are given to women at the hospital who have still born babies or miscarriage after 20 weeks. I have been making these for the last 8 years and have made over 100.. Will post a pic tomorrow if you are interested.

This cause is very close to my heart as 30 years ago you just went home from hospital with no support and a real feeling of emptiness.

Yes, Mirabelle, do post your Blankets of Love. I miscarried twice after the last chlld...but we had three, so we loved them even more. At his size, he broke the 'mold'. Twenty three inches long, weight 10 lbs, and 12 oz.

Lots of 'eye' candy on the pictures; Anael, you were first to post yours and I love it and Carrie's too. Would not change a thing on yours or any of the rest. Mine will be a while, dh is not doing it, I am and I am slow...and can only sew for a short time now, so inching forward slowly.

Mirabelle, Im very interested in your blankets of love. I have wanted to make and donate for years but it is still just to hard for me to do by myself even 10 yrs later. I wish I had a close buddy to sew them with. PLEASE pics!

I miscarried at 3 months & wished I'd had some kinda service or somethin'. That was 22 years ago & it still hurts. God did give me #2DSon 2 years after that.
Your a Godsend Karen for doin' this! Huggs.
