Juliasb, how very lucky you and your neighbors were not to have been hurt or worse. I’m very sorry still that so many suffered the loss of or damage to their homes.

ibex94, I especially love the block you made for Hav4boys. It’s beautiful! I hope you get lots of your alone time to sew with few interruptions.

Here are the blocks I promised today. One for Ibex94 and two for Hav4boys. The first one for H4B is called Perfect Petals. I like this pattern and try to make at least one per boom. The second one for H4B is a new pattern to me. I saw a picture of it and liked how it looked but there was no directions. I figured out how to make it and I really like how it turned out. But, I don't think I will make another one. It consists of 32 2-1/2" HST. That is a lot of cutting and sewing plus trying to keep everything straight. Oh well, I hope y'all like what I made.

Thank you for my beautiful block, Ibex! All of your blocks are wonderful. Hope you had fun making them.

I can't wait to get my blocks back and put them together!

Juliab,, so thankful the tornado did not harm anyone. Makes my own complaints seem petty in comparison.
Love the blocks that have been posted. Isn't it funny that we have favorites we try to do in each boom? With the doubled up fabric I was able to do several of mine.
Good luck to everyone moving. We have been in our house for 45 years and I can't imagine clearing it out. We were in charge of clearing and selling my in-laws and my husband's aunt's homes. Swore we would do better but it never lasted long!

Klaws -- those are beautiful! I like your perfect petals block. I need to try that one day. The hst block you created from sight is wonderful, too.

The block you made for my President's quilt is lovely! It screams "patriotic" and "pay attention" to me which is exactly what I love about this strange fabric of mine. Thank you!

Gosh, this President's quilt is going to be amazing. Thank you all in advance for these beautiful patriotic blocks!

Hang in there, Juliasb. What you went through is horribly scary. I am very thankful you're okay.

Good morning, Zinnias! This is going to be one busy day today so I’m checking in early. We’re headed to the new house with a uhaul filled with items we want to move personally. DS will be helping us. What a blessing!

Klaws, I love your new set of blocks. The 2nd one for Hav with all those Hsts seems like a lot of work but is so pretty. Your interpretation of ibex’s fabric is eye catching and the petal block is a favorite I’ve not tried yet. Great work. Bibliostone, we’ve been in this house over 27 years. I cannot imagine how it would be at 45! We’re finally done decluttering, donating and tossing and we filled an entire 20 cubic yard dumpster. My goodness!

have a great day all. The weekend is almost here.

Janice good luck at your new house today. Wish I had kept the boxes for bathrooms and bedrooms separate. They are in the long term storage locker and probably buried. Bought new linens for master bedroom but my sister will be coming to help and need to find the bedding for the guest room. What were we thinking when we didn’t put bathroom towels and shower curtains in an easy to find place. Yikes

Ibex very pretty blocks and I love mine. The design and colors you chose are great

Klaws more great blocks and wow look ar all those half square triangles.

Julia how frightening, were you home at the time? Thankful no one was hurt and your neighbors are all helping each other

Good morning, all. Our Uhaul trailer was a bust. Someone decided to keep it longer so we were completely out of luck. We’ll try again next week.

terriamn, I did make a few separate boxes but they’re mixed in with other boxes! Poor planning. Lol. I’m already so over this move and it hasn’t even happened yet.

    have a lovely weekend.

Janice isn’t moving fun. We still haven’t heard anything back on inspection of our house, looks like the couple is going to take their entire 7 days to get back to us. So dang nerve wracking. We have several things going in our favor, 99.9% of our belongs are out of the house and in storage about 15 minutes from our new home and we aren’t dependent on the sale happening before closing on new one. Closing date is actually on the same date for old house and new house but have heard of so many goofy things happenings at closings that we decided to go a different route. When we went to take some measurements at the new house the family was home and she is also a realtor. She said she advices all her clients to do the final walk through. They have seen where sellers have taken appliances etc that were written into the buying agreement as staying and even had one home where the seller replaced the appliances with old avacodo green ones. Surprise surprise
