Lstew, happy you are safe from the flooding. Bad weather is always a great time for sewing, maybe the only perk.

The rain here has been unbelievable. We have gotten more than 5 inches in two days. Flooding everywhere. I live on top of a hill so we are good, but people closer to the creeks and river not so well. There will be a real mess to cleanup. We are just waiting for the cold and snow over the next two days.

at least I will have plenty of time to sew this weekend.
WMUTeach, enjoy your retreat! I’m sure your quilts will be well loved by the recipients.

It’s spring here! Our dogwoods are beginning to bloom but I’m waiting on my new star dogwood to bloom. We put it in last year and it’s a later bloomer. The hostas are popping up, much to the thrill of the deer who munch them to the ground if I forget to spray regularly. I have three plants, some kind of lilies I think, that are poking above ground now, too. They’re from previous owners. I knew we had two but this year a third is coming up. A surprise! And then there are the moles and voles doing devastating work to our yard. Oh, well.

Hope you all have a lovely day. The weekend is coming!

Oooh, really cute palm tree block, LogCabin!

Janice, at her last house my daughter had a terrible mole or vole problem. She would put our her new plants in the Spring, and then find them gone! The little critters came up below the plants and pulled them down into the ground to eat them. They just seemed to disapear! She ended up getting some help from an exterminator.

I know we have moles here, because my dog digs one up every so often, LOL.

lol, Ibex. I know that the next Boom will begin sometime around the end of July or beginning of August and end before the holidays. I haven’t figured the precise dates yet but I’ll let you know right here when I do. It’ll be great to have you join us again.
