$20? How about $120 if she really wants it!

Good Grief! I never cease to be amazed by the outrageous things people do! Not only would I not make her another one, I would never lay my hands (unpaid) to fabric for her again...EVER! Obviously, she has no appreciation for your work. I guess that you could teach her a lesson - tell her to go buy all the materials for the next one and bring it to you. Tell her that your labor cost will be $_?__._?_, (way more than $20.00!) paid in advance! As soon as all that happens, tell her that you are "glad to do BUSINESS with her"
I'm sorry that this happened to you. It makes me sad and angry to know she did that to you.

I bought a few from you and would not think of selling them for higher. Shame on her. But, I am using one for a gift. Thank you for your wonderful work and offering us a chance to buy.♥♥

And as for gifts??? I have a shelf in my sewing room with gifts I get from board members and there they stay. I use them for me. Of course, there are quite a few in m y house for decorating too. No shelf for them.

I made a friend a wolf quilt and she didn't sell it but gave it away to her sister. She wanted me to make another and like some else said on here, I told her I would help her make one. I decided it would be a raggy quilt. I cut the blocks for. That has been 2 years ago. I may put it together and sell it. I know it hurt your feelings because I was really hurt.

NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I had given a gal in AK several quilts, she moved to ND when were there, and she asked me to make her a quilt to remember me by, I asked her about all the quilts I had already given her, and she blithy said " oh oh I gave them as gifs, and sold some" I told her that was really too bad, wasn't so sure I wanted her to remember me! NO WAY would I EVER make her another quilt!

I don't think I would make her another one. I have just given a few quilts out. Any one of them get sold or given to some one else and that person will never get another one from me.

You do the labor for the one you intend it for, for them to use! Not for them to profit or blithely just give away. Not considering all the hard work you put into it. The thought for the material / pattern / money or time to make it.

Would not happen again...

I'm sorry you have such a thoughtless "friend". If I were you, I'd loan her the pattern, period!
