Love making the YBR and have always used 6 fabrics. It's fast and easy and instructions are clear. If you don't use borders it's a great baby size. With borders and the 6 fabrics in the 4 x 5 setting it can be used as a lap quilt for most people. The 12 fabrics stated in the pattern is suppose to be the lap size, but I've always used the 6 fat qtrs. Most lqs' have bundles of 6 fat quarters already together in a designer's coordinated line, makes it really easy to whip them out for a quick gift. I've made over 20 and have more to make. My favorite pattern!!
