    TV ... I have 2 in viewing distance of my sewing machine but find unless I absolutely have to sew and watch a program that I don't want to miss, I prefer to NOT have the tv on. I get less sewing done cuz I keep looking up to see the TV.

    So music or a book on cd means more gets accomplished at the sewing machine.

    I also listen to sirus radio in the car. In my studio, I either have on the TV or listen to music, books on DVD or podcasts (quilting, scrapbooking and computer ones).

    I really got into Cutting for Stone too, Like to listen to the
    Elm Street Quilters - just seems appropriate. My favorite book so far though has been "The Help" looking forward to the movie! That book also inspired me when making my Quilting Fairy God Mother!
