I was thinking that I would use my 5" squares then 2-5" squares for a 4-patch and 2-5" squares for strips will try it to see if it works as soon as I get my sewing room un-buried. tee-hee if only the cleaning fairies would come and clean my house. I have no energy and my chest hurts. See the cardiologist on the 30th. Mean while do a little rest a little. Very little gets done.

Here's my version - decide your own starting size and proportions. Just remember that whatever size you start with - because of the two seams you lose 1" each direction with another 1/2" for seam around block.

Do you only cut 2 squares at a time? Or can a few more be cut (with a new blade, of course!) If more than two are done at once, do you shuffle after each cut, or only after all cuts are made?

    Thanks for your helpful pictures/dimensions.

I personally stack five or six fabrics when I'm doing something like this. And, sometimes I switch blocks from one stack to an entirely different stack. Just my preference, but I like every block to be 2 different fabrics. If you just switch between 6 fabrics in a stack, sometimes you have two blocks with the same fabric - only mirrored.
