ok it's a quilt group, and you quilt too
it meets in a church near your mother, so her positive vibes will be there with you, and some there probably know your mother and will be thrilled you came.
take a big deep breath and bring along a project to share. have fun. you'll be glad you went.
but..don't leave us in suspense afterwards, we want to know how things went for you. ok? :)

Here's a bucket full... you'll be fine... after all, you are all there because of quilts. What could be scary about that!

I quilt at our church, it is the best thing ever. Sewing every week and making friends which I will have for a lifetime.

All I can say is first, Blow your nose, and go have a good time. LOL Couldn't resist with what you said.If you don't get a warm fuzzy feel don't go back but try a few meetings anyway. Good luck. Let us know how you do.

Yep, Cameo is the one! I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Don't be scared, they won't bite you. Be approachable when you go into a new group. Some of them are shy too, not knowing IF you want to be approached. Guilds can be fun, and if you become involved by volunteering for some committee, you will get more out of the group experience. I hope the group will welcome you and make you feel at ease, and you will make many new friends. I love the friends in my guild and would miss them if I could not go.
