Mine is a combination of the two crafts I teach, painting "brush" and I love to do hand applique and red work and have hand quilted thus "thimble"

I chose the capital and the year I was born. I have always liked the sound of the name of the capital. It's just classy. ;)

My dad had a climbing red rose bush. After he died I would pick a rose and give it to my mother who was living in a nursing home. She enjoyed getting "Dad's roses". I did this as often as they would bloom until she passed away 2 months later. Now red roses remind me of my parents.

We live in the woods and when we bought this home I have always called it " our cabin in the woods". I love quilting --hence
