Years ago I saw a log cabin quilt with applique on the borders. There were trailing vines with flowers & was just so beautiful. That would be my choice.Just sorry I can't do any hand sewing. It will stay a someday wish.

New York Beauty - no, Baltimore Album - no, McKenna Ryan Design???? - no, I'd have to design my own, and you know how long THAT process takes.....

I would make a Lone Star with some Texas-themed Baltimore Album style blocks in the corners. I've been wanting to design that quilt for ages!

    That's too depressing to contemplate.

I agree!!! BUT....if that is how it would be, I guess I would choose Edyta Sitar's "Sweet Sixteen" only bigger than 16 blocks. All applique, but a different look than a baltimore album.Of course I would hand quilt it. It would be a hard choice between that and a Welsh whole cloth. I HAVE to do some hand quilting in the Welsh style soon.

A Baltimore album, I'd have to live forever to finish it.

This would be my choice, or finish the Grandma's Garden that I have hand pieced (WIP) for twenty plus years. BTW and I would hand quilt it.
