Some times you might guess what your quilt will look like before you get ALL the way to the last set of directions, but for the most part, you're just sewing squares & rectangles & triangles together, then sewing units together, and so on. I think it's a lot of fun! :D
Hope that sort of gives you the idea!

A bunch of us here on the board did a mystery row of the month together.. are doing... and it has been such fun. I love sharing the fun with others and seeing what we each come up with. I'd do it again in a flash!!

I love doing mystery quilts. I was very apprehensive with the first one, not knowing if the colors would go. But, it really helps me get out of my little box. I've really liked the ones I have done They have been mostly done in class, so I was able to ask questions of the teacher and show her fabrics that she would be able tell me if they would work or not. I currently doing one and with mystery quilts I tend to use from my stash so I don't put out a lot of money on something I may not like. For this one,I have decided to do a scrappy quilt. Boy is that ever out of my comfort zone. As I started, it was very difficult for me to invision liking it. However, now that I am close to finished, I am very pleasantly surprised. I actually like it. Lots of different fabrics but it looks pretty good.
