I'm still chuckling over this. I went to JA's this afternoon and there were quite a few there but as I didn't need anything cut I wasn't there long. I did get a container of fat quarters on sale and some thread on sale. I asked the ckout clerk how Fri. went and she said really well, as they had baggers and lots of support people. She also said some people stood in line for two hours at the cutting table.

it is the only shopping day that I really look forward to doing....but then I am a morning person who always gets out of bed at 4AM. My business opens at 6AM and I enjoy those 2 hours of quiet time before the madness begins!! Of course, I never see anything after about 7PM.......

Hi you guys should have been in my neck of the woods. I went to the Jo-Anns for the Warm & Natural and the $1.29 flannel at 6:30am there were 5 ladies at the cutting counter and I waited about five minutes. Scored nine yards of batting at 70% off! Making lap quilts for Alzhiemer's patients, so that flannel and batting is all going to good use! Went back into the store to visit with a friend that works in the Viking Shop for about an hour or so and the store really did not seem to get busy. Maybe everyone slept in. I never shop on Black Friday but this time it was for a good cause.
Congratulations on everyone else who scored a bargin!

That was so smart of you! I wish I had done that. I didn't get up that early but when I got there I went right to the ticket machine and then started my shopping. Even at that I waited at least 2 hrs. to cut and then in line again to pay. But it was worth it. Never shaw flannel that cheap. While standing there someone would ask if they could have some of my bolts after it was cut and I did likewise. Was fun even if my legs were so tired.
