    You so can! Now when I look at a landscape, I try to imagine how I would interpret it in fabric, stitching or embellishments. Think about textures, colours and shapes rather than pebbles or sky or hills or whatever. It's just a skill, same as eveything else in our craft and I believe you can learn it. I don't think I'm especially artistic, I can't draw to save my life! :D
