I justs did my gr dau a quilt using lots of orange and pink. The young girls seem to like bold colors, and large flowers etc.

Oh, my--I am sorting my strips by width--and I have LOTS! Guess the kids will get strip quilts faster than I thought--had just been throwing them in a box....
Now I am rolling the various sizes together, and it is going to take hours!

Oh, today they are using reds and purples with orange. Sounds lovely and special to me.

There are many fabric bowl patterns that utilize strips and cotton clothesline. I am planning to use some of my strips to try one of these.

Can you use some to make a clothesline basket?

A lady in our guild did a black and white quilt with lime green for an accent. It was stunning. I think orange would do the same thing.

I don't know ...I googled "fabric bowls and came up with lots and lots of options. The one I chose is called a popcorn bowl. The 2.5" strips are sewn together legthwise, threaded with cotton clothesline and crocheted using a "Q" hook. I got it at Quilting by the Bay in Panama City, FL and they have a website you might reference. The pattern I chose is from Aunties Two Patterns in Portland, ME, and the front of the pattern also references the following website : auntiestwo.com Pattern no. AT224. I have also seen patterns for bowls, vases, purses, etc. that utilize strips, too. Hope this information helps.

I am making an orange, royal blue, yellow and off-white quilt right now. I am hoping the royal blue will kind of tone it down a little. I will post it when I get it into some semblance of order. I also cut way too many strips, so thanks everyone for the ideas with all the color combinations!
