I think it looks great!! Don't give up! Keep going. I think you are like a lot of us on this board and you are just being too hard on yourself. Most people here don't lie. They tell you what they honestly think!! If they see something that you could do to fix it I'm sure they will pipe up!! Just don't give up!

Hi Carol...your star looks great, love the colours. Everyone here on the board had to start somewhere, we're all in that boat together. We have all made mistakes, big and small ones. Don't be so hard on yourself and don't strive for perfection. There is no such thing as a mistake anyway, we like to call them design changes. Have fun and happy quilting. Carol....also.

That quilt is going to be lovely. Don't you dare rip anything. Just relax and enjoy it!

You picked lovely fabrics for this baby quilt.

It sounds like your problem isn't that you don't know how to make a quilt, but that you don't trust your work and expect a lot of perfection.

Maybe set aside some time/materials to make a small string pieced quilt or "wonky star" quilt, something that doesn't require precise seams and matching, to learn to accept and maybe even enjoy imperfection?

Believe me, I am not a perfectionist when it comes to quilting, but I enjoy myself and the quilts I give as gifts have all been well-received.

Adopt this rule: If it can't be seen from a galloping horse or a speeding train, it is perfect. Have fun. froggyintexas
