I'd probably use it as the center, add white borders with either different shades of golden yellow diamonds on the vertical and/or smaller squares set on the points (using the two together I'd have the squares opposite each other where the diamonds meet (but not touching) and have 4 squares make the turns). Then I'd put on a solid black boarder of feathers and quilt it in varigated yellow thread.
