    Nice job! If it was mine I think I would put a 3" border just to finish it off and tie it together.

    Absolutely stunning Pam! I do think it needs a border though, to give it room inside it's frame. How about just a plain one in that black on black to give you scope to get some of your fabulous quilting on there? Would look great in a coffee or old goldish thread...

    Unbelievable that you did that without a pattern! Outstanding! You could simplify the border and just do a solid rather than a 4 patch. Nice work!

    First of all, your quilt is beautiful ! I love the colors and it looks so well made ! You don't mention the depth of the mattress it is going on, but a 68" x 89" quilt on a 54" x 75" mattress will have a 7" drop on each side. If that is enough for you, then I wouldn't add a border. If you add the other rows, and it becomes 76" x97, it will have an 11" drop on each side, if I have my figures right. I like a generous drop on a quilt, but either way, your quilt is gorgeous !
