Hugs to you...I am so sorry for you loss. We are raising goats for the first time this yr, and had two kids born last Nov. I can't imagine how hard it would be to lose one of them....my thoughts and prayers to you....

Sorry you lost him, but I agree you helped him start out and gave him special love. In the end it was out of your hands.

So sorry for your loss. I know that goats are great companions, with feelings and can be trained, as you said. My brother rescued a baby goat, years ago, when they adopted their deaf dalmation. They were raised together, taught by signing, and even slept together---yes, the goat was in the house! Find peace knowing you did your very best for your goat baby.
