I work as a scrub tech-scrub hats are never sterile but at least with the disposable ones we know they are only used one time. You never know with the cloth ones if people ever take them home and wash them.

I made a tote bag out of a pair of jeans that my son had worn out the legs. I cut them off just below the zipper and used one of the legs to make the handles and sewed the zipper shut. He is a high school math teacher and frequently has to bring papers home to grade so the tote bag was perfect for that. He said he had a lot of fun with it.

I made a prayer pillow for my niece who was dying with cancer; the quilted angel in the middle had an little fabric pocket with a flap and little tiny satin bow, to hold a small piece of paper that fit therein that had a place to "write in" your special prayer of the day. Today my prayer is for: ________ She knew she was going to be leaving this world but at that time, I wanted her to have a "focus" to her prayers.

Little quilted covers to put over seat belts where they rub your neck raw on long trips. Cute and comfy.

I've done bags to hold doors from helicopters while not in use, lining for interior of helicopter, mic cozy, and am trying to figure out how to do a "boot cover" for the stick.
Also like to do "Daddy Aprons" for new dads. (always in clude a large red "panic button!"

We just used disposable diapers with a slit cut in it for her tail to poke out. Worked great !! Funny, but great.
