    My mother-n-love made quilts out of polyester like that. I have one I have used for 30+ years. They wear like iron. Doesn't fade, doesn't show any wear. I'm in Texas, but when we refuse to turn the heat on, it sure makes a nice cover. What it reminds me of, is not bell bottom pants, but leisure suits. Oh those were so not the fashion statement.

    I think the yellow ones and the red ones were mine! My grandma sewed me lots of polyester pant suits...bell bottom elastic waisted pants with a matching top. I was such a dork!

    it would make a great pick nick quilt ....lol......very thick no sticks would poke through ..........

    That looks like my Aunt's closet. :shock:

    That woman had every color imaginable in polyester. With handbags, shoes and jewels to match.

    I had ones that were light purple on leg, dark purple on the other and reversed on the back. So I think the purples mine.
