what is your AC set at?

We turn ours on when the temperature gets to 79 in the house, and it's set for 79F.
Since we're at 5000 ft elevation, with super-low humidity, and have a super-insulated house, on really hot days that means it usually comes on about noon to 1 p.m.
By 8 p.m. it's cooled off to 75 or so outside so the a/c goes off and the windows get opened. I love the high desert!

78 or 79. We have a lot of ceiling fans in our house and good air movement makes you feel cooler. Good window covering for the few windows which get direct sun. I do lower it occasionally if I'm cooking/baking or have guests. Anything to help in TX where we've had way too many days over 100 with no end in sight.

Covering the windows makes a huge difference on how much it runs! Our stongest sun is on our kitchen sliding glass door, and we've kept the blinds closed on that. It's so strong on that window that in winter it keeps the heater from running, and it covering it in summer really helps to even out the internal temps.
