    that will work great when I am teaching the grandkids to quilt - they have a tendency to go too fast

    Wouldnt this work kind of like a *brownout* for an electric motor, which they always warn us about? to unplug things if you suspect its happening ?

    that is really amazing...you say you use it on your OLDER machines..do you think it will work on the newer ones?

    I am considering this for my vintage Bernina 830..I want to use the machine on a Grace frame!

    I only have older singers..with no speed controls.. so that is why i use this method.. this is no different to use then to hold your foot on the controller at the same speed ..
    I have used it for applique and fmq and I love it.... I know longer worry about "lead foot" and "run away" ..
