I just learned that pre-cut squares aren't always "square". Aren't they die cut? Isn't that for accuracy? I was given what I think are charm packs? 100 5" squares per pkg. and a couple jelly rolls to make a charity quilt. I was excited, no real cutting. I'm going to have to square up every block. And no, I'm not going to square up every square. I decided a 4 patch was a safe way to go-hope they look better pressed.

Gee..sounds just like me......LOL especially about the sewing machine. When I sit down to sew....if I make several mistakes within minutes..I know it's not my time to sew...find something else to do for a while and try it later!!

How the rage back looks isn't important unless you plan to show it to someone.
Buy or mark all your tools with bright colors.
Have at least 2 of everything.
Make dinner for at least 2 meals at a time, and have oatmeal and cereal for those times you don't.
    Larn to improvise.
Find my own style. And it is okay to use nondesignated tools with sewing. recently saw a expert demoing her fabric markers- Sharpies- I've been doing that for years and was told it was taboo. Look who decided to follow suit.

What about polka music and quilting? My parents listened to it a lot...I'm even partial to it, but can't find radio stations that play it...unless I'm close to New Ulm, MN! :)
