It doesn't seem like they would have bees on their deck, would they?

I just watched House hunters again in Australia and a couple bought a house next door to a bee keeper. i didn't see any boxes or hives, just lots of bees. most bee keepers keep their bees happy and in their homes. not going all over the neighborhood.

Looks like file boxes of some type to me. I agree that you need to know what you're talking about before you go to the county,it might backfire on you in an unexpected way. Once you break an egg you can't put it back together again :)
