This weekend I got one like her but not in good shape, someone sanded the box and it is coming apart on the bottom, the Singer insignia is still there. The machine was dirty and I cleaned her up and oiled everything and still didn't work, so went out to work with husband, told him it wouldn't run, so we came back in and he had me plug it in and she ran like a top!! Guess the oil got to her and he came unstuck, paid 10 dollars.

Wow!!! You got a deal at the price you paid for your machine!!! You can refinish the case for your machine. If you need help with it, just go on the vintage machine post and there are a lot of helpful people there who can tell you just how to fix the case for your machine, and anything else you need to know on cleaning up your machine.
You will find that you do have a wonderful machine. What year is she? Can you post pictures of her? Did you name her, or is it a he?
