Works if you can easily bring your machine.

I always take my FW when I travel, she is my constant companion. Even if I end up not using her, still have her. I keep a small pencil box packed with all the things you need on the road, extra needles, spool of thread, pencils, sm bottle of machine oil, etc. Will also cut out a number of blocks for the quilt I am working on at the time, put into gallon baggie, and put into the top of the machine case. Have FW will travel.....

OH yes been there and done it too. It helps to have the comfort of an understanding friend (machine) with you on a fun trip you both will enjoy. :D

Have fun! My DD bought me a machine case that looks like luggage to use when I thought I would be going to MT. on the train. Turned out I wasn't able to go but the case is going to come in handy for when I do get to go. Hope you win LOTS of $$$$.

Bring it if you can! When my son and husband used to ride quads in the desert I used to bring my applique projects and work on it in the motorhome. Someday we hope to get a fifth-wheel and while looking at them at the RV show the other day, I was already thinking....where am I going to set up my sewing machine! :)

Smiles to all....Thanks for the shoulder! Oh, I'm not really a hand anythinger. LOL
Take it if you feel you can ship it without any damage.

You're not alone. I'm in Charlotte at a bridge tournament and didn't bring my machine, but did bring a queen quilt that I've been hand quilting since 1994. Maybe if I do this for the next two or three years it will finally get done.
