Mine is called Eileen - after my Mom. It was originally her machine that my Dad gave me after she passed away. I learned to sew on her older machine - a singer one of those black and gold ones that she traded for this machine. It is a Fleetwood and I know was purchased pre 1969, because in Feb 1969 the Boston area had so much snow we only went to school 5 days, and I sewed lots of clothes that month on this machine.

Knock on wood - it never breaks and just keep oiling it, it sews through anything. Only does two stitches staight and zig zag - but it sews great.

I'll run that ole girl to the ground.

I'm sure as my sewing improves her name will change, but right now it seems appropriate. Her name is 'Stupid'.

That's right, everything is her fault!

I've been thinking of names for my machines, but haven't picked one yet.
My van is Bessie, hubby's truck is Huebert & my 18 yr old named her car Andrew, her laptop is Colten & her cell phone is Leonard. She names everything that's important to her. My 16 yr old just names all the stray animals in our neighborhood plus all the frogs, turtles, spiders, etc. that's in the yard. :)

My embroidery machine is Daisy, because the dealer I got her from is 1 1/2 hours away, and in that month I went every weekend - driving miss daisy.

I then named my sewing maching Pansy -- because it's cool.

My car is Guido (from the little blue forklift in Cars)
