Have You Ever Bought the Same Fabric Twice?

I have been so embarassed when I've fallen in love with a piece of fabric at the store, brought it home and discovered that it was actually the second time I fell in love with it. I usually fold the two purchases together so it won't look like they are two separate purchases.

You go to the store, "oh isn't that pretty!! I will get some".

Maybe it's Old-timers.

Just goes to show you that you made the right choice the first time! I bought six metres of a fabric that I just love.....just because I love it. I had already made one quilt out of that fabric before I bought the six metres. Even if I never get to make anything out of it, (though I am sure that I will), it makes me happy just to look at it. Enjoy it.

That happens frequently. lol Sometimes it works out great,
especially when I really needed more of that fabric and I search my stash and find another chunk of it.
A great example is Michael Miller's "Texas wildflowers";
I bought 9 yards of it in 2 purchases. lol

I have done that also. Even have one fabric pattern that I purchased at 3 different times. Even have couple quiltling books that I have doubles of, the extra makes good Christmas presents for quilting buddies and then I hope they don't have the same on their bookshelves. Glad to hear I'm not the only one that has done this.
