You are so funny! We just had the biggest laugh in my office just now and we all thank you! It was so unexpected on top of the sweet story about the quilt. Then, I started laughing again and said "I just love cwap quilts and they all busted out laughing again because I couldn't even say it right! Thanks for the unintended laugh. :)

Oh my, I think with a statement like that I am afraid I would have given the quilt back to her. what a thing to say. The quilt is beautiful, it would have been hard, but in my younger days I am afraid she would of gotten it back with a few words to were I stood on things, I was a bit onrey way back when. God bless.

I was afraid to ruin it in case I had to give it back! I mean, he didn't want a quilt. I certainly didn't plan on getting divorced but I didn't want to take any chances with the quilt. Anyway, now that I'm starting to quilt, I decided to get it out. It really is beautiful. And my husband really likes it too. Here is a picture of it.
And we always hear from "The Experts" that we should NEVER keep our quilts in plastic bags because cotton must breathe and
plastic will cause the fabric to rot. Well, after 17.5 years it still looks darn good! Belles :-o

Oh that is a treasure! I hope grandma is still around to see that you are finally giving it a place of honor in your home. She did a beautiful job.

I love it, the colors are pretty and the design is unique to me.

    lol....

I think that is a great idea. Since it was given to "both" of you, I would have ignored the comment and used it years ago or handed it back and told her that I don't talk about getting a divorce on my wedding day.

What a funny story. That's why I tell every person I give a quilt to, "Use it, it won't make memories in the closet." I think it's a grandmothers flower garden with center hexagon and outer hexagon's pieced like pie pieces. How large are the hexagons across?
