    You've got enough white within the block itself so I think the red makes a nice contrast.

    I agree. I like the red but it needs the white to seperate it from the brown, or another row of the gold then the red.

    I love it that men quilt, my DH hardly grunts when I'm finished with a quilt. You did an awsome job on that. I love it.

    This is a hoot! As much as I LOVE red, I would have gone with the brown. The red (and the white) add too much busyness to that beautiful leafy border. Just one more thing to draw your eye away.
