    I'm with you in "first machine quilting." I have done two quilts and the quilting is gosh awful, but as you say, you have to start somewhere. Guess we need to practice, practice.

    Too cute! I would use the print. It coordinates better. The first one over-powers and draws the eye away from the quilt.

    I like the first one best. I think it brings out the darker stripe and the little spots in that light purple stripe of the quilt......really pretty quilt btw.

    I like both, but #1 seems to make it 'pop'. Love the main fabric! Great job.

    I know colors don't always look accurate in photos. Based on what the photos look, like I like 2.

    I think either one will work, but IMHO #2 goes with the other colors better. Like I said, either one will work.
