Hi Crafty Bear No not yet.I'm in need of making 3 baby quilts in a hurry,it would have been 4 but i did get one done. I know I need at least one for a baby boy other 2 may have to be generic .They want the surprise of boy or girl at birth.Makes it hard for shower gifts.I love Christmas and like being home working on sewing instead of fighting crowds at the mall and bad weather. Need ideas and patterns for girlfriend christmas gifts. Amazing Grace

My current project has been making bags for an upcoming Christmas bazaar -- so they'll be Christmas gifts but not from me. (My DH is a woodworker and made this stand to display them) Happy sewing everyone and I LOVE this board.

I meant to attach these pictures also -- bags I made for my aunt in memory of my uncle with his nicest neckties. The larger one shows front and back, I sewed the labels into the lining. The smaller bag is with the leftover scraps.

Hey Grace, how about making wall hangings, a different block in different colors for each friend, quilted and bound?

1 is finished: Christmas quilt for Stepson & wife
Others underway: "wishes and dreams" quilt: GD, Tablerunners (2sisters),School spirit quilt(gd),embroidered snowman quilt(Daughter), Toronto Mapleleaf quilt (SIL), and more. Well, if they don't get them this Christmas, I guess they move to next Christmas. I probably need to give up sleeping. (As for the noose idea, is the fabric 100% cotton, prewashed, ironed and starched?...please post the pattern).

I have two in the working stage & three completed. I did two counted x stitch needle work santas (one carrying a quilt and one with knitting supplies) for two of my friends. I also have a table runner completed and am working on another table runner & a tree skirt.

Right now I'm about 300 bars short of what I want.
Noooooo worries, right?
One year I helped a friend make soap for his children. It was a tradition that the kids always got handcrafted gifts, and he had just divorced his wife, so he was on his own. We made soap in bars and different molds. I got hooked. Now I have all this soapmaking stuff to do something with.

We needed to wrap the soap in something, so I made little drawstring pouches from some cute Christmas fabric. He included a hand carved Santa in the gift, since he loved to work with wood. He passed away a few months after Christmas due to lung cancer. His 3 kids treasure that Santa and soap, knowing that he took the time and interest to do it all on his own. :)
What a beautiful story. Now this is an examplie of the true Christmas spirit. Thank you for sharing.
