This gives a whole new dimension to the Log Cabin. I would never thought that would work but it is beautiful.

Actually, I did!! Out of over 300 quilts that one won third place for Viewer's Choice. The Fall log cabin I made with the same pattern placed 11th. :-D :-D :-D

Each of these squares is made individually... well, I decide on several that will look good with a particular strip, but sometimes there are only 2-4 per new strip. And very few, if any, blocks are the same. Very time consuming, but fun. I don't have any deadlines, so no stress.

I'd LOVE to see someone else make one!!!
I hope to make one sometime. I do have about 200 blocks done for a scrappy log cabin, and I mean very scrappy, log cabin. However I used only 1 1/2" logs. Most of my fabrics are florals. I just have not finished pressing them all nor have I laid them out together yet. I would like to try one like yours too.

LOL.....

Um let me find my camera, turn on my iron and set them on my cutting table. May take me a little while. I don't know how I want to lay them out....
